Kid's Snack- Dessert Nachos!

What you need-
Flour tortillas, any size
Bananas
Strawberries
Chocolate syrup
Cinnamon /sugar mixture
Pam

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Cut tortillas in whatever shapes you like.  We did hearts.
2. Lightly coat each of the chips with Pam cooking spray.  Bake for 10-15 mins.
3. While the chips are cooking, take your bananas and strawberries and slice them up.
4. Prepare your plate with a drizzle of the chocolate syrup.  Add about half of the bananas and strawberries on top of the chocolate.
5.  When the chips are crispy, take them out and VERY lightly spray with more Pam.  I am serious when I say just VERY lightly.  Sprinkle with the cinnamon and sugar mix.
6. Put the chips on top of the strawberries and bananas, then top off with the remaining strawberries and bananas.  As a delicious finish to the dish, drizzle with more chocolate syrup.

Kid's Snack- Mini S'mores

S'mores are probably the best snack ever created, but creating these magnificent marshmellow and chocolate sandwiches is far from practical for everyday.  Well, fret not, you can still enjoy these amazing flavors with just a few minutes in the kitchen.

Take some vanilla wafers, and spread some nutella on them.  Add three mini-marshmellows and then top with another wafer. Pop these little guys in the oven (heated at about 400*F) for just a few minutes, and enjoy.

These snacks are great for movie night, slumber parties, or even birthday parties.

Recipe- Make you own Soda!

I know that it is way cooler, and even more delicious(if you get it right) to make your own goodies.  Well, here's a goodie that MANY people consume on a daily basis, but is also something that you can create in your own home!

Ingredients
1/8 tbsp yeast (champagne yeast from a brew or wine shop or regular Red Star or Fleischmann’s yeast)
Coffee cup of warm water (98-110 degrees)
2 1/4 cups sugar
1 tbsp+1tsp soda flavor extract
A little less than 1 gallon of water
1 gallon jug
2 2 liter bottles

Dissolve 1/8 teaspoon of yeast in a coffee cup of warm water for about 5 minutes. Yeast should be fresh. Too little yeast will not yield enough carbonation, too much will give the soda a "yeasty" taste and might burst your soda bottles. Water too hot or too cold will have the same effect as not enough yeast because in cold water it will stay dormant and in too hot water it will be killed off.
Then mix 2 ¼ cups of white sugar, 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon of flavoring extract, the dissolved yeast and enough extra water to make 1 gallon together in the gallon jug. Shake to mix for about 2 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved in the water. Pour ½ the mix into each of the two 2 liter bottles, cap tightly and wait 4-6 days. You can tell how your carbonation is coming along by just squeezing the bottles. If they get too firm open the cap and let off a little of the carbonation.
